Lex Loath is a crooked, despicable man, filled with greed and a desire for power.

He has big plans for world domination, which includes the capture of Teisel, Bon, and other diggers who have fallen into debt. By utilizing their combined digging ability, Loath eventually acquires the means to reach his goal.

While Loath may not have much appeal as a character in general, he does well in filling the role of a nemesis who anyone should be happy to see defeated.
