Rockman DASH Capcom Friendly Club Beta

This demo of Rockman DASH was given only to members of the Capcom Friendly Club. It contains a beta (early development) version preview of the game that has a number differences from the finished product.

DASH Beta Title Screen

Crazy Hair
After an interesting, though obviously very temporary title screen, the first thing you're likely to notice is MegaMan's head. His hair is a lot lighter and styled differently. His face doesn't look quite right yet either.
10 Year Old Hero

Town In The Sky
Compared to the Horokko, and next to the sign, MegaMan seems a bit smaller than usual. Seeing as this is early in development, it makes sense. The creators initially envisioned the main characters to be around age 10-11 rather than 14, so naturally MegaMan would be shorter. The upside (which may just be the early game engine at work) is that MegaMan seems to move faster. His running and turning both appear to have added speed and smoothness. The downside is that his little legs make it so that he can barely jump at all.
Man With Beard
Once MegaMan reaches the Apple Market, the Flutter theme starts up. But the music isn't the only difference. People have different faces, and the shops are all set up in kind of a mirror image of how the official game ended up.
Apple Market Open Sky

Reverse Letters
There are also strange alley spaces with open sky above them, with one such gap right in the center of the Apple Market. It's like a whole new place. Also, trash cans and boxes cannot be kicked or checked.
Looking Out
No samples in the music store, but hey, you can walk right in and out without having to use a door! Jim and the gang hang out in the final alley. Naturally the door to the Downtown is closed for now.
Jim's Gang

Junk Store Man Lost His Razor
The Junk Store Man has a beard! Once you talk to his wife, outside of the Junk Store, the rescue proceeds as normal. After saving him, you get a good look at Roll's gray eyebrows... A couple of Draches fly over head.
Nihon-go ga wakarimasu ka?

Last Man Left Alive
Now that everyone's been cleared out, here's a good look at the Apple Market, facing North.
Worthless Vending Machine
It's funny what Capcom thinks needs changing. And yet, it makes sense that Amelia would replace the soda machines on the island, seeing as they don't work! Seriously, if you're getting pounded by the Blumebears, don't expect any refreshments here.
Stripe Burger Open For Business
Interestingly, the Stripe Burger restaurant is already up and running—so is the Servbot on the right, whose Blumebear just got blown to bits.
Feldynaught, JUMP!
Onto the famous first battle between Tron and MegaMan. Though in Japanese, the dialogue between the two seems paced the same, so I wonder how they handle the part about being chased by the dog. As far as this demo is concerned, it didn't happen yet! Also of note, none of the bosses have energy bars. Tron's defeat brings the demo to a close.
That's Pretty Much It
