So, as many of you already know, over on the Legends Station Forums we have a holiday tradition known as the 'Secret Santa Art Exchange' in which we create new Legends fan art as gifts for one another. This was the sixth year in a row that the event has been a great success. Teaser previews of the results have been displaying randomly on the home page since yesterday morning, and now these new pieces are all officially up for viewing in their gallery! Happy holidays to all!

Japanese Fans Create 2D Legends 3 Prototype Demo

2013-07-14 - Posted by Dashe
If you've been paying attention to Legends-related news as of late, the Japanese branch of the Legends 3 revival movement, One More DASH, has been working on a 2D version of the Legends 3 Prototype. There was a demo present at the Mega Rock Fan Festa, and now they've released this demo to the general public. It's a pretty basic demo. All of the in-game text is in Japanese, but the gist of it is that you're required to defeat 50 Reaverbots without running out of health. I managed to clear it with a broken right arrow key, and I tend to suck at this sort of thing.

Pick up the zip file here if you want to give it a shot!

Unfortunately, this demo is configured to run on a Japanese machine, so you'll probably have to change your computer's locale to Japan through the control panel to get it to run properly. Otherwise, you'll have to spam Enter as the title screen loops until you get into the actual game. The English readme is also questionable at best, so I fixed that. You can pick up the more intuitive English readme here.

Get Me Off The Moon Rocket Launch Short Film

2013-06-25 - Posted by fAB
Many of you will surely recall the rocket that was launched back in February, a symbol of the passion of Legends fans everywhere. At the time, the launch footage was withheld in favor of putting together a short film documentary of sorts, and that video has finally come to light. I'll say no more about it and simply let it speak for itself. Here's hoping its message is heard by those who need to hear it.

GMOTM At Mega Rock Fan Festa - Seeking Donations

2013-05-19 - Posted by fAB
For those not in the know, a major fan event dedicated to the blue bomber was announced some months back. It's taking place in Tokyo on June 29th, and promises to be something very special. Prominent figures of the Mega Man world will be present and/or involved, including a major illustrator of Legends art, Hideki Ishikawa, who will be drawing all artwork for the event.

Mega Rock Fan Festa

Of course this isn't a Legends-exclusive event, but the MML3 revival movement at GetMeOffTheMoon has reported that their Japanese side is working on some secret plans for the event, one of which "is so brilliant, so awesome, that it's liable to obtain unfathomable amounts of mainstream coverage". Whatever it is, if Legends 3 is ever going to be brought back then such coverage is exactly what's needed.

New Affiliate Where Legends Never Die!

2013-05-15 - Posted by fAB
As a more or less static site, Legends Station hasn't been seeking new affiliations for a good long while now, but we're making an exception for the exceptional Get Me Off The Moon, AKA 100,000 Strong for Bringing Back MML3!

As any serious Legends fan should know, the good folks over there are on a constant and unwavering mission to show Legends support and enthusiasm in all kinds of ways in the hopes of showing Capcom just what a strong market there is for the Mega Man Legends series.

In addition to Legends 3 revival efforts, the page also serves as a great source of Legends related news and a gathering place for Mega Man supporters everywhere, so be sure to pay them a visit.

GMOTM Reports A Successful Rocket Launch!

2013-02-10 - Posted by fAB
I know I wasn't the only person who visited GetMeOffTheMoon and their YouTube channel repeatedly yesterday, expecting to see videos from the rocket launch event as promised. While there were some pictures shared, we have unfortunately been informed that there will be no footage to see for quite some time.

Rocket

I'm sure a lot of us would have been happy with just a glimpse, perhaps a few seconds of crappy cell phone video or even a single still shot of the rocket in the sky, but it seems they want to keep it under wraps until they can do the editing up proper and make a big show of it for Capcom. That will apparently take four weeks. Disappointing, but it makes sense in the bigger MML3 picture. The most important news however is that the rocket did in fact launch successfully, and that in itself is a great accomplishment. Great job to all those involved and all the best to the editing team!

Sending a Dream into the Universe

2013-02-07 - Posted by fAB
Most of you around the community have probably heard all about the model rocket that was funded and built by fans to launch as a symbolic gesture that we want MegaMan off the moon. It stands five feet tall and is an impressive recreation of the rocket shown in Mega Man Legends 3 screenshots, the rocket which would have presumably seen MegaMan safely home from Elysium had the game not been cancelled.

Mega Man Legends 3 Fan Rocket

Legends Station has been on the verge of twice wishing the endeavor well, only to receive word that the launch has been postponed due to undesirable launch conditions. This time, with the launch date scheduled for the day after tomorrow, here's hoping we're close enough that everything will go according to plan.

Head to GetMeOffTheMoon for further details and be sure to visit them on the 9th for pictures and videos from the event!
