MMLS Update 2010/07/07 - New Home Page Image In Progress...
From the moment I began reworking the site for Version 4 (quite some time ago) I knew I was going to have to come up with a new image for the home page, something preferably spectacular, which is no easy task. At the time I merely slapped together a rough, sketchy piece of art to act as a placeholder and I am sorry to say it has remained for so long as the image visitors to the site are greeted with.

It took me a good while to roughly decide what I wanted the image to look like. To many of us Legends Station has become more than just a web site; it feels like a place, and as such I eventually decided that the home page image should reflect that. I set about the task of visually designing Legends Station as if it were a location out of the Legends series. Taking into account all the many aspects from functionality of a station to the architecture, I actually made blueprints of the layout to scale and at last came up with a Station I was pleased with.

And so, the official home page image is finally in progress! There will be a good many hours of work to come on this project, but for now I've replaced the old image with my progress thus far. I will continue to update the image from time to time as I find chances to work on it. I hope everyone will be looking forward to the finished product.
