GetMeOffTheMoonRockman PMTRRL
A Brief Introduction to Mega Man Legends
The Mega Man Legends game series, known in Japan as Rockman DASH, saw its first release in late 1997 on the PlayStation. It was followed up by a prequel/spin-off game and a direct sequel, after which the series came to an abrupt halt in 2000. With the exception of a cell phone game (released only in Japan) and the occasional cameo appearance in other Capcom games, the Legends series remained dormant for 10 long years until September 2010, when at long last a sequel was finally announced. Fans watched and even participated in the Mega Man Legends 3 development for months, only to have it canceled in July 2011.

The games themselves follow the story of Megaman (or Rock as he is known in Japan), a digger who explores and battles his way around a wide, ocean-dominated world filled with treacherous underground ruins and sinister sky pirates. The extensive environments and colorful characters brought to life in the series were a major change from the robot-blasting platform games in the other Mega Man series of the day, and the same still holds true even now.

If you've discovered or re-discovered the series through all the Legends 3 hype, then you've certainly come to the right place. Mega Man Legends Station has everything you need to acquaint or reacquaint yourself with the series. We hope you enjoy looking around the site, but do beware our coverage is complete and extensive, therefore you are bound to bump into information that might be considered spoiler material.
